Playdough and Rosemary

An ordinary moment became
EXTRAORDINARY !

I like to add natural elements to the play dough provocations.
And "beautiful things" too....like jewels and strings of sparkly beads.
This morning I placed a bunch of fresh rosemary herb on the table.
My heart leaped...I was so happy...
the child approached the table and closed her eyes and breathed in deeply....
"mmm.......rosemary", she sighed.
"yes", I thought to myself...."rosemary".I didn't need to say anything
or ask her questions  or add my thoughts. Verbal communication wasn't necessary.
She appreciated the sensory experience of the rosemary, as did I....and that was enough....at this time.
I continued on with what I was doing at the counter,as she quietly and contently
rolled and squeezed  the dough...adding the fragrant herbs to her sculpture. She continued to take in deeper "sniffs"...each time letting her breath out with a "mmm".
